Josep Mª Trias
Graphic Designer

Born in Barcelona in 1948.

Studied at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios Llotja, and Escuela
de Bellas Artes in Barcelona. Established himself as an
independent designer from 1976. Has been professor of
graphic design in the Massana, Elisava schools and at the
Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

He has also given national and international courses and
conferences.

Awards: Laus ADG/FAD 1970, 1975, 1982, 1991 and 1993.
He is currently is Director of TriasQuodDesign, a graphic design
and visual communication team with over 30 years experience.
Rationalism, functionality and emotivity are the three
supporting concepts on which the methodological process for
his designs is based.

Designer of the Barcelona ‘92 Olympic logo, the Barcelona
underground sign, corporate logo for the Generalitat de
Catalunya, TV3, RACC, Turisme de Barcelona, Port Aventura,
Universitat de Barcelona, Universidad de Deusto..., among
other projects.

Designs for Mondano: Corporate Identity
